Ingredients
- 1 1/2 lbs ground pork
- 1 yellow onion, finely chopped
- 1 1/2 tbsp sesame oil
- 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
- 2 tbsp hoisin sauce
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp ground ginger
- 1 16 oz bag coleslaw mix with carrots
- 2 green onions, chopped diagonally
- 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
- Cooked rice
Directions
- Whisk the soy sauce and hoisin sauce together in a small bowl and set aside.
- Cook the ground pork in a large skillet over medium-high heat until browned. Drain if necessary.
- Season the pork with salt, pepper, ginger and red pepper flakes, then stir in the sesame oil.
- Add the onion and garlic and cook for another 6-8 minutes, or until the onion is softened.
- Stir in the soy sauce mixture. Add the coleslaw mix and cook for another 5-7 minutes, or until the cabbage has just wilted.
- Taste and adjust the seasoning, then remove from the heat.
- Serve hot with rice and garnish with green onion.
